From career vocalist and pianist to licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a special interest in Voice and Voice disorders.

Phyllis is a speech language pathologist and clinical vocologist driven to provide a unique option for total voice care. In 2006, Phyllis was a full time musician who had just given birth to twins when she was diagnosed with a voice disorder that limited her range and ability to keep up with a 6 night a week performance schedule. She was referred by her ENT to a speech language pathologist for vocal rehabilitation. Since then, Phyllis has dedicated her studies and career to helping others in similar situations. Knowing what it’s like to be on the other end of the table allows Phyllis to give you the best possible outcome.

Phyllis is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and singing voice specialist with special training in the area of voice, voice disorders and swallowing. She has experience with singers and professional voice users of all types. She provides intervention for speech, language,voice and swallowing disorders.

Phyllis graduated from California State University Northridge with a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences with honors in vision and leadership in her .eld of study.

Phyllis is a classically trained mezzo-soprano and alto who has performed as an International Performer (singing pianist) in 38 countries and counting. In addition she has done voice-overs for radio and television as well as radio advertisements locally and as far away as Dubai. She continues to perform for conventions and fundraisers such as The American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes, and Safe Nest, to name a few.
She was honored in the 2017 New Orleans Performer’s Convention for her master class and keynote speeches on the importance of vocal hygiene.

Phyllis has training in videostroboscopy and FEES exams from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and worked with head and neck cancer patients at The Gibbs Cancer Institute in SC.

She is a member in good standing with both the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Nevada Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensing Board. She belongs to ASHA’s Special Interest Group-3 for Voice and Voice Disorders and is featured as an ASHA Certified Private Practitioner on asha.org.
